Beco park to replace disused industrial spaces along Brussels north canal

In the North district of Brussels, the transformation of the canal district goes futher in front of the Tour & taxis site as well as where the three towers of the mix-used development project ‘The Banks’ by Triple Living will soon be build. Along the canal, the city of Brussels is in the process of rehabilitating the ‘Quai des Matériaux’ disused industrial spaces into a 28,000 m2 park combining relaxation, sports and play areas.
The walkway will extend from Place Saintcelette to Place des Armateurs, along the Avenue du Port. The Beco Park will be connected with the neighbourhoods on the other side of the canal via the pedestrian bridge 'Suzan Daniel' recently inaugurated.
