Paris Real Estate Week gears up for start

The Paris Real Estate Week is still scheduled to take start next Monday. Organizers Reed Midem have given further details of the presentations and conference programme. One obvious topic is the impact of the health crisis on investments in proptech, and this will be the theme of a conference with Roxanne Varza, Director of Station F, Faisal Butt, Founder & CEO, Pi Labs, Mathias Flattin, Partner, Axeleo Capital and Jeanne Massa, VP, French PropTech. Digitalization is another hot topic, and Gilles Babinet, CEO of Laitou,, will discuss the links between technology and sustainability, and the resulting opportunities for the real estate industry. Innovation and CSR will be the subject broached bywith Méka Brunel, CEO of Gecina and Brendan Wallace, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Fifth Wall.

Other topics include the cities of tomorrow: new approaches to urban design, which will look at the example of the regeneration of the HafenCity district in Hamburg. Jürgen Bruns-Berentelg, CEO of HafenCity Hamburg GmbH (videolink), Lionel Grotto, CEO of Choose Paris Region, and Olivier Saguez, CEO and Founder, Saguez & Partners, will discuss the importance of urban planning in building a resilient city.
The Mipim Startup competition will also be at the first stage with startups competing in one of four categories: sustainability, data, investment, and user experience.

Funding opportunities, a green future, the workplace after the pandemic, mobility and investment will also be covered. Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple will host a chat via video link, while Nicolas Sarkozy will address the audience.
