A new destination for a world-famous site.

The Val-Saint-Lambert site, which comprises the world-renowned Cristal Factory founded in 1826, is to become a major retail, business and housing site in the Liège-area. The Cristal Park project offers 120ha of land for development of which 44ha are in the construction zone. The project is one of the biggest real estate developments in Europe. The site is ideally located in the heart of the Eurogio, a very large area comprising eastern Belgium, South-West Holland, western Germany and Luxemburg. Maastricht is only 25 minutes away by car, Aachen is 40 minutes away. The site has excellent access via the E40 & E42 motorways, and Liège Airport is only a 5-minute ride away by car, the Calatrava-designed train station is about 10 minutes away by car. With 2,950,000 inhabitants within a 60-minute radius and 22,650,000 within a 2-hour radius, the Val Saint Lambert site has an exceptional population pool so providing the project with the required appeal.

The site integrates historic buildings – such as the Val-Saint-Lambert Castle and Abbey – which have been fully renovated to their former glory. The castle houses the most luxurious business club in the Euregio with 6 fully equipped private meeting rooms, a lounge and bar as well as a library, a “cigar” room and a pool table room, a gastronomic restaurant, food & wine tasting areas and a conference centre. The fully renovated Val Saint Lambert Abbey is the largest entertainment space in town which can hold more than 1,000 people.

A theme shopping village together with a diversified leisure centre
Cristal Park is a technically innovative project with only one co-generation energy production unit for the entire site. The industrial site to be renovated will focus on 6 points: retail, housing, business, hotel accommodation, leisure and the construction of the new Cristal Factory. The aim is to create a themed shopping village dedicated to items for the home, leisure and lifestyle. With its 55.000m2, 45 boutiques and 1,500 parking spaces, the shopping area will be designed as a village with an open and lively central street. The development will also offer of a leisure centre (19,000m2) with indoor ski run, Aqua Park, the most luxurious fitness centre in Wallonia, a food court and open air leisure activities.

The site will hold a 120-room hotel offering three-star accommodation. The hotel will be directly connected to the leisure centre as well as to the business centre located in the Val-Saint-Lambert Castle. In addition to this business club, an additional business park will emerge comprising 10 buildings, with an overall surface of 16,280m2. To complete this all-round project 4 residential sites (110 plots and 201 apartments) have been planned. They will be located in an exceptional natural woodland setting, though in easy reach of a wide range of services.
