Mipim – going strong at 30

Mipim opens its doors at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes today, for its 30th edition. On the agenda for the four days of the world’s largest real estate show are a focus on Proptech, a ‘Young Leaders Summit’, and a full range of conferences on every topic allied to real estate, cities, regions… Not least among the demonstrations of the importance of Mipim is the opening address by none other than former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The debates and presentations include the topics of sustainability, healthcare and housing needs in our cities, emerging trends in real estate and ‘post-brexit’ among many others. Belgium is again well represented with the ‘Surreal Estate’ pavilion and exhibition space for all three of the country’s regions.
