International and heavy newcomer to Belgian flexible office scene
Belgium is about to see a new entrant in to the ‘flexible office & co-working spaces’ battleground. ‘SPACES’ an Amsterdam-based organisation established in 2006, now present worlwide in 24 countries with soon around 80 locations, is to open its first large business centre here – in Diegem on the Brussels periphery – this autumn. This will be followed by centres in Antwerp in 2019 and the company says its ambition is to have at least 10 centres by 2020, with Ghent, Liège, Louvain, Charleroi, Namur and Hasselt centres being established soon.The Diegem centre will be located in Pegasus Park, within sight of the airport. It will offer 3,500 m² over four floors !
With Facebook's lease, Brussels reaches the 300€/m2 prime rent
Prime rents in Brussels have finally broken through the € 300/m²/year threshold for good, according to real estate advisor JLL. The broker says that the take-up of Regent Park at a sum in excess of this figure by Facebook, is not an isolated case...
Logistics market flying high
Belgium performs for logistics activitties. This is borne out by the figures for the market for the first half of the year with take-up of 412,000 m² up to the end of June. 2017 is so far outperforming the 5 year average to the tune of 35%. Analysis by JLL..

DBFM formula with AG Real Estate for Goodyear Innovation centre in Luxembourg
AG Real Estate and Luxembourg construction company Félix Giorgetti have announced that they have signed a partnership in the form of a 30-year Design, Build, Finance and Maintain agreement (DBFM) to develop Goodyear’s future global innovation centre and office buildings located at the new Luxembourg Automotive Campus.
Goodyear is one of the founding partners of the Luxembourg Automotive Campus located in Roost (Bissen) in Luxembourg. The campus will be a unique research and development area for companies involved in technological innovation for the automotive sector.
