Marnix Galle to head ULI

There is a further chapter in the career of Immobel Executive President Marnix Galle. He has been appointed as Chairman of the Urban Land Institute Europe, a role he will take up as from the summer of 2020.

With more than 45,000 members in 82 countries, ULI is the largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world, and it is also the oldest. The organization provides leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. Through its members' dedication to the mission and their shared expertise, the Institute has been able to set standards of excellence in development practice. Events are regularly held during which members listen to presentations on topics allied to land use, and are able to debate these. Two recent such events in Belgium have been on the subject of the place of railways and railway stations in urban life, and on the emergence of new services and equipment in the domain of smart buildings.

Speaking of his appointment, Marnix Galle says: “It is a real honour for me to chair this organization which in our field of activity is an absolute reference. Our involvement with ULI serves a larger purpose in what the company stands for and who we all are. Through ULI we learn, share and better understand the world we live in.”
