Post X Antwerp full by year end?



There has been another transaction in the successful Post X development in Antwerp, close to Berchem station. Brokers JLL, who have a busy office in Antwerp, have announced that through their services, from the beginning of 2020, GSJ lawyers are to rent some 2,972 m² of office space in the complex. They have thus chosen to leave their offices on the Mechelsesteenweg in Antwerp. They will have the benefit of brand new, sustainable and tailor-made offices and also to benefit from the services offered on site.

While this transaction may be relatively modest in size, it represents an ideal opportunity to take a look at the progress made by Post X. The complex comprises no less than 130,000 m² above ground offices of which 50,000 m² for the Police. Along with the office space there is a facility building, hotel Park Inn, Lidl, Fitness, and a business restaurant.

The first office buildings were developed in 2014 with Syntra as first occupant, after which Crelan took up 4,600m² as a major tenant.
Since then more and more corporates have moved onto the site. 2017 and 2018 were extremely successful years and created a boost for the Antwerp office market.
Along with offering brand new and sustainable buildings, Post X provides excellent accessibility by road, public transport with a direct connection between the site and Berchem Station and the accessibility by bicycle (two cycle lanes pass the site).
The last remaining space in POST X is currently being marketed by JLL, which expects the entire site to be rented by the end of 2019.
