To strengthen our Business Development department we are looking for a Head of Cargo Real Estate ( M/F) for the Cargo & Logistics business unit.

The Head of Cargo Real Estate is responsible for drawing up and implementing the real estate strategy for all buildings at BRUcargo: within this framework, he/she is responsible for the development of the BRUcargo zone as an attractive, high-performance and efficient logistics platform, for drawing up business cases for various sub-projects within the airport grounds and for their implementation. In this way he/she guarantees a fixed and growing flow of income from both infrastructure and services.

In this role he reports directly to the Cargo & Logistics Director.

Your flight briefing
  • You develop a strategy for both the real estate and the park management on the zone.
  • You closely monitor the P&L management.
  • Together with your team you are responsible for the development and rental of the buildings
  • You manage a team that maintains contacts with all (current and potential) customers at BRUcargo.
  • Together with your team you co-ordinate the most important real estate developments and new projects.
  • You actively work with various internal (OPS, SD/AD, FIN, Legal, IRE) and external stakeholders (customers, architects, engineering firms, investors, government, etc.) in the context of the realisation of the real estate projects.
  • You guarantee a good co-operation with the Key accounts by building and maintain lasting relationships.
  • You develop the zone into an attractive and high-performance, but also pleasant, location for the tenants and users.
Your passport
  • Higher non-university degree or equivalent through experience, a Master in Real Estate is a plus.
  • You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in real estate, preferably experience in logistics real estate, specific experience in real estate development and financing is a strength.
  • You have a broad general and technical services knowledge of logistics and real estate.
  • You have a good knowledge of project management as well as real estate process management.
  • You have a helicopter view and you are able to work in complex environments
  • You have solid people management experience.
  • You combine a strategic and hands-on mentality.
  • You are highly result- and customer-driven, you think in a solution-oriented way within a commercial context.
  • You have excellent social and communication skills, you are able to persuade others with your diplomacy and negotiating skills.
  • You are analytical and organisationally strong.
  • You are prepared to travel abroad regularly.
  • You speak either Dutch or French and have a good passive knowledge of the language you are not fluent in (Dutch or French). Your English is good.
