Major residential development in Oudenaarde
Proving that large scale developments do not just take place in the largest cities of Belgium, Besix RED and Belfius Immo instigated the second phase of the ‘Leskoo’ project In Oudenaarde on Friday. This ‘city of beer’ as the local mayor described it, is some thirty kilometres to the south of Ghent.
Leskoo (from the French for the Schelde river which runs past the project) has already seen the 76 apartments of the first phase sold, and a further 84 are set to follow in phase 2. Around 50 of these have also already found takers. This total of 160 apartments is indeed worthy of the major urban developments in Brussels, Antwerp, Namur…
Just a very short walk from the centre of Oudenaarde, Leskoo is deigned to breathe a new stimulus into the town. Architecturally, the style is modern and airy, featuring white facades, with an interior garden and large terraces for the apartments. There is an underground car park. The buildings meet or surpass the latest requirements in terms of environmental norms, and particular attention has been paid to acoustics, building quality and finishing levels.
